How To Create A Free Blog Site

There are many free blog services from where we can open a blog site. One of them most popular service is blogger.com. Now we will see How to open a blog site in blogger.com.

Steps:

1. To open a blog site you must have a gmail account. If you don’t have then create it.
2. Go to www.blogger.com.
3. Now login with your gmail id and password. You will see the following page:

4. Now enter your display name, check email notification and acceptance of terms and then click continue. Now you will see the following page:

5. Enter a blog title and blog address then check availability by clicking on check availability. If the blog address is available you will see the following page and then click continue else change your blog address and check again its availability. If the blog address is available then click continue. Now the following page will appear:

6. Choose template design and select by click on the design then click continue. You will redirected to the following page:

7. Now our blog site is created. Now we have to write to our blog. To write any thing to our blog click SATART BLOGGING button. Then you will see as follows.

8. Enter the title of your article and write your article in the compose field. There are some editing tools, using these tools you can edit your article then click publish post button. Now your blog has been posted and you will see the following page.

9. Click on the view post to see your blog post and this url is your article url. Now you will see your blog; like follows:

There are many links. Some useful links are described bellow.

1. NEW POST: To write something to our site, we have to go in this section.
2. Edit Post: If we want to edit or delete any post then we have to go here. Click this link. We will see a page as follows.

This page shows our post list. From this we can edit or delete our post. To edit any post click Edit, to delete any post select the post by tick mark then click DELETE SELECTED
3. Settings: In this section we can change many option to our blog site. If we click Settings we will see a page as follows.

In this section there are many subsections. Such as Basic, Publishing, Formating etc. From Basic section we can chance our blog title and many other things. Normally blog home page shows 7 posts. If we want to show many posts or 1 post then we have to go Formatting option. Click the Formating link. You will see a page as follows.

To display 1 post write 1 to the place 7, and click SAVE SETTINGS which is bellow the page.
4. Design: Design section is very important for blog site. Click the link. We will see a page as follows.

We can add new item to our blog site by clicking Add a Gadget link. In this section we can see that there are two columns. One column contains Blog Posts and another column contains Followers, Blog Archive and About Me. That means this is a two column template. To design a beautiful blog we need three column blogger template. For this go to www.google.com and search for “free blogger three columns template”. You will find many beautiful templates. Select one of them and download the template. You will get an .xml file or some html code. If you get html code then save it in a text file. Now to change your template, click Edit HTML link. You will see a page as follows.

If you download .xml file then click the Browse button and select the .xml file and click Open then click the Upload button. After that your blogger template will be changed. During upload template if it want any confirmation then you will confirm it. If you get html code then copy the code and paste it in the above html code box. Before paste your code delete all the html code in the box and then click SAVE TEMPLATE.
